IPSISSIMUS Prepares To Release Debut EP

January 7, 2008

Connecicut black metal power trio IPSISSIMUS, whose lineup includes ex-CAPHARNAUM/CATALYST guitarist Ryan Adams (a.k.a. His Emissary),recently entered the studio to record its "Three Secrets of Fatima" debut EP, which the band intends to self-release in a limited, specially-packaged edition while it decides upon a label for licensing/distribution. According to a press release, this CD "promises to be a landmark of tenchical religious black metal, with themes drawn from drummer Haimatokharmes doctoral studies at a prestigious Ivy League university."

In the band's less-than-one-year existence, IPSISSIMUS has performed with scene luminaries such as NACHTMYSTIUM, ENSLAVED, DARK FUNERAL, UNLEASHED, BELPHEGOR and BAPHOMETS HORNS.

IPSISSIMUS intends for its February 6, 2008 date with ROTTING CHRIST, IMMOLATION, BELPHAGOR and AVERSE SEFIRA to coincide with the release of the new EP — to be followed by a live ritual featuring fellow Connecticut hatemongers BAPHOMETS HORNS.

The few remaining copies of IPSISSIMUS' "Trampling the Host" demo can be obtained via the band's MySpace page (where it can also be heard in its entirety). Additionally, live footage of "The First Secret of Fatima" can be viewed below.
